Biel Says Leaked Nude Scenes Hurt 'Powder Blue'

It was announced recently that Powder Blue would not make a go of it in theaters, despite the fact that Jessica Biel appears topless in the film. You'd just figure that'd be an incentive.

But instead, pervs the world over can check out Biel's best striptastic moments online, and the full movie will be released on DVD on May 26th. And Biel says that the all-too-predictable internet availability of her nude scenes are the primary reason Powder Blue won't be released theatrically. She tells Gatecrasher, "I'm bothered when scenes leak. It's disappointing how people take your work, put it on the chopping block, rip it apart and judge it. I'm like,' Maybe you should just see the movie.'"

Jessica Biel's Stripper Moves in 'Powder Blue'

Yesterday around this time, we showed you the latest trailer for Powder Blue, the long-awaited movie in which Jessica Biel plays a stripper. The movie won't get a huge theatrical push, debuting later this month in a few cities before pushing its resources towards the DVD release.

Obviously, if you have a movie that can in any way be described with the words "Jessica Biel" and "stripper," the DVD market is probably the way to go. To help plant the seed that this Holy Grail of celebrity skin is on the way, the film was recently promoted on Access Hollywood. It goes without saying that this is a fairly tame video, because when has anything associated with Mario Lopez been anything other than tame? Having said that, if you would be at all interested in seeing Jessica Biel train to play a stripper, then why are you still reading?

Trailer for Jessica Biel's Strip-tastic 'Powder Blue'

Last summer, The Big Picture world premiered the poster for Jessica Biel's Powder Blue, and even though you'd think a few million guys would line up to see Biel play a stripper in various states of undress, the release date for the film has been slow to develop.

It appears that the movie will finally be seen this year, although if you blink you'll probably missi it in theaters. Powder Blue is one of those four-Los-Angelenos-whose-lives- intertwine movies co-starring Ray Liotta, Forest Whitaker, and Patrick Swayze. The release date is April 24th, and it won't be in theaters long; the DVD release is already scheduled for June 9th. Here's a look at the trailer, which more tastefully hints at Biel's profession than some leaked video a couple of months ago did.

Jessica Biel's Stripper Movie Gets a Trailer

Many months ago, we were the first place you could check out the poster for Powder Blue, the film that had gained a certain degree of notoriety because it was believed that it was the first film to contain a Jessica Biel nude scene. Yes, that's right.Hello? Still with me? Hello?OK. The film has a lot more to offer than that, potentially. Powder Blue co-stars Forest Whittaker and Ray Liotta, oh, and Patrick Swayze in a bad blonde hair metal wig. The trailer is just a bunch of edited shots; there's no real sequence to them at all. Still, it's pretty effective, I guess. They go the no dialogue rout and have some cool meditative music underneath lots of shots of Jessica Biel in her lingerie. We don't have a release date for Powder Blue (it was originally scheduled for this fall). But if that changes, we'll give you the head's up.

Later this year, Jessica Biel will make a little personal history with the indie flick Powder Blue. Last summer it was being reported that Biel would play a stripper supporting her son as a single mother in the gritty drama, and that to achieve full effect, she'd strip on-screen, as well. Naturally, that got one or two people excited for some reason. Biel, it is rumored, is taking the challenging role to push her boundaries as an actress, and in hopes of being taken more seriously. Powder Blue then gained a bit of unwanted publicity when another its stars, Patrick Swayze, revealed he had pancreatic cancer. Earlier this week, Swayze claimed, "My treatments are working and I am winning the battle." That's certainly good news. The film, which also stars Oscar winner Forest Whitaker, Ray Liotta, and Lisa Kudrow, details the string of circumstances that bring four strangers in Los Angeles together on Christmas Eve. We've managed to get a hold of the first poster for Powder Blue, and I think we're expected to believe that this is Biel in silhouette: Powder Blue opens on December 31st.
