Ricky Gervais Talks about 'This Side of the Truth'

Ricky Gervais took a moment out from kicking a lot of ass - in the figurative and creative senses - to update us on what he's working on next, specifically his new film This Side of the Truth.

I'll leave it him to get into all the specifics, but I would like to tip my cap to him for assembling a dizzyingly good cast, which he says includes Jennifer Garner, Louis CK, Rob Lowe, Christopher Guest, Jonah Hill, Tina Fey and Jeffrey Tambor. He also sends a shout out to Harry Knowles, so there's that.

The movie itself is about a writer who decides to lie to advance his career. That in and of itself wouldn't be very special, but This Side of the Truth is set in a world where lies have never been heard.

We don't have a release date for for This Side of the Truth or the other project he apparently has cooking at the moment with Stephen Merchant, his longtime collaborator, but we'll update you as soon as...well, as soon as Ricky has another video update, I guess.
