Ridley Scott May Direct Cormac McCarthy's 'The Counselor'

This kind of news couldn’t be any better.  Ridley Scott is considering to direct The Counselor from Cormac McCarthy.  Freeze-frame fist pump!  Scott plans to follow up with the Pulitzer Prize-winning author McCarthy (the writer behind No Country For Old Men, The Road, All the Pretty Horses), who sold The Counselor film rights to his first spec screenplay to The Road producing team of Nick Wechsler and Steve and Paula Mae Schwartz.

Scott has been thinking of directing a historical epic about Gertrude Bell, but may choose the McCarthy project instead.

New Photos Reveal “Space Jockeys” in 'Prometheus'

It wouldn’t be wrong to say that reporting every little bit of new info on a highly anticipated film seems to be pandering to its fans, but we the fans love it.  And so, we’re being privy to a new photo that reveals a lot more about those “Space Jockey Suits”.  The photo also features Noomi Rapace looking towards something that’s off camera, wearing a different suit with an intricate design and tight form in Ridley Scott's Prometheus.

Trailer to 'Alie-' - I mean 'Prometheus'

I was never a fan of the Alien series growing up; I was more of a Predator fan.  I could appreciate a great horror film but it couldn't grab me the way Schwarzenegger and Weathers could.  So you can tell that my excitement for Prometheus was a 'meh.'  I wasn't on the bandwagon like everyone else who writes on this site, even when the first posters and set photos were released.  "Big deal", I said, "who cares for a prequel to Alien when there's a huge chance it's going to suck."

The Teaser Before The 'Prometheus' Trailer

The first poster (above) for Ridley Scott's new Alien saga Prometheus emerged last week, while the films debut trailer will arrive this Thursday.  Today GTBP gives you the teaser trailer before the real trailer, and for a curt 30-second trailer there's a lot to look at and get excited about.  Scott himself discusses Prometheus and touches on what moviegoers can expect to see this summer (June 8, 2012) when this blockbuster hits theaters.

We are also exposed to some creepy Alien style footage that we've come to expect in these films over the years.

'Prometheus' Trailer Leaked?

Boy and girls, gather round.  We have an interesting story to tell, it's one about mysteries of the universe and its told by Ridley Scott.  You know the guy behind Alien, Blade Runner and the many other movies he's done since.  Prometheus is his return to science-fiction and boy does it look grand.  

Apologies to anyone turned off by that story-time session, but all this news about Prometheus (a supposed prequel/timeline-sharing to Alien) seemed like a fairytale until we got some set photos of the cast and now a bootlegged trailer of the film.
