Josh's Top 5 Films of 2011

With everyone else tossing around their best and worst of 2011 picks , I just had to join in on the fun.  But to look back at 2010,  2011 seems to be a lackluster year.  2010 had movies abound with "Oscar Buzz" and some pretty big movies and performances.  In comparison, 2011, at least to me, has been a bit more... quiet, somehow.  But that's not to say there hasn't been several great movies this past year.

Editor's Picks: Top 5 Films of 2011

Before I start my Top 5 list it should be noted that I haven't seen The Tree of Life or The Descendants yet.  Both movies are creating a lot of Oscar buzz and are on many critics lists thus far.  I'll probably completely forget to mention a film I liked too.  It's bound to happen.  Now we turn to my list of the Top 5 Films of 2011.

Outstanding New Trailer for 'Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows'

It's incredibly rare to see a sequel that looks better than the original.  Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows could be the first film to outdo its predecessor.  Don't believe me?  I've included the new trailer for Guy Ritchie's follow-up mystery adventure to prove it.

The trailer has it all: Improved action sequences and more of them, including those killer slow motion shots.  Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) behaving weirder yet handing out more beat downs this time around.

Rachel McAdams On The Set of 'Sherlock Holmes 2'

"What? New set photos on a film that had finished filming?  Gee, those guys at Get The Big Picture are really slow at relaying the news."  Well, idiot troll commenter, Guy Richie is back in London, England for some needed reshoots.  Rachel McAdams, who co-starred in the first Sherlock Holmes reimagining, wasn't available to shoot scenes during principal photography.  Now, McAdams is set to reprise her role of Irene Adler in a much smaller, cameo like role. Took them long enough to release some set photos of the upcoming sequel to Sherlock Holmes, starring Robert Downey Jr. as the titular detective.
