Josh Brolin Cruises Into 'Sin City' In New Tweeted Photos

It may have taken eight years, but we're finally getting a sequel to 2005's critical and commercial hit Sin City.  It's been jumping in and out of development since then, and for a while it seemed we'd never get another glimpse at Frank Miller's noir paradise Basin City again.  Now, it's moved into filming and we have definitive proof: A screenshot of Josh Brolin in action on green screen, and then a post visual effects version.

Gordon-Levitt Won't Guard The Galaxy, Moves to Sin City Instead

Joseph Gordon-Levitt's career really rocketed upward after Inception in 2010, didn't it?  Sure, he had consistent work as a child actor (I still remember seeing him for the first time in a Disney Channel featurette for Treasure Planet), but now he's one of the most sought after actors in Hollywood.  So here's yet another story about what he's doing with his life: He's decided to pass on starring in Guardians of the Galaxy, and instead will play a major role in Sin City: A Dame to Kill For.

'Sin City' Sequel Hires Two Dames to Kill For

A familiar face(s) will reunite with Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, in Jaime King.  You'll remember her as the lovely gal who played both twins Goldie and Wendy, one a murdered hooker that Marv (Mickey Rourke) avenged in Sin City.  The other babe entering the sequel, Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch) is a newcomer, who'll inherit a far more deadly role as lethal Old Town swords woman Meho, originally played by Devon Aoki.

A Dame to Kill For? Dawson Says She's Back for 'Sin City 2'

Will the lovely Gail resume her role of ass kicking in the sequel Sin City: A Dame to Kill For?  Yes, yes she will and we're delighted by this news.  Rosario Dawson said as much in a recent interview with E! Online, "It's in! It's happening! Can't tell you nothing."  She's hinted about returning all along, but now we can chalk up as official.

Earlier this year, she talked about where she would like to see her character Gail go in the next film.

'Sin City 2' Officially a Reality? Pinch Me...

Finally mofo!

Beating around the bush or dancing around the subject best describe to me how director Robert Rodriguez has treated the Sin City 2 questions the last few years.  The "yeah we'll do that one day" statements became a little tiresome, though we did report a couple months ago a sequel would be imminent and can now safely confirm that story.  Dimension Films announced this week the sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is loading up for production with Rodriquez and Frank Miller in tow as directors again.
