Check out the First Six Minutes of Zack Snyder's 'Sucker Punch'

Before it's opening, Zack Snyder's girls-with-machine-guns epic Sucker Punch was met with a lot of venom and negativity from critics (read our more positive than not review here).  And after its poor performance at the box office this weekend, the general public seems to agree... leaving me in the minority of people who didn't think it was that bad. Yes, it did have some glaring flaws, but it in no way deserved the amount of hatred that's being thrown at it.

Still needing to recoup more than three quarters of its budget, Warner Bros. has decided to release the first six minutes of Sucker Punch online in hopes that it sways some members of the public that were put off by the negative reviews into checking out the film for themselves in theaters.  And this film is one that DEFINITELY should be seen in theaters.  So if you haven't seen it yet, check out the opening sequence below.

'Sucker Punch'/Disney Princess Trailer Mash-Up

Keeping with my trend of passing on the coolest fake trailers I can find online (i.e. I Am Home Alone and E.T.: Extinction) here's one courtesy of forensicator8.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Forensicator8.  With the release of Sucker Punch less than two weeks away, the forensicator decided to hit the first theatrical trailer for Zack Snyder's film with a little Disney magic turning the ladies of Sucker Punch into Disney princesses.  The result makes a surprising amount of sense.

Second Full Trailer for Zack Snyder's 'Sucker Punch'

As Zack Snyder is busy turning Henry Cavill into The Man of Steel, he's got another movie set for release next month.  Snyder's brainchild, Sucker Punch, hits theaters March 25 and today we got a look at its second full trailer.  Kind of...

I say kind of because it's less of a trailer than it is a music video for The Silversun Pickups over footage from the film.  Any other time I'd say "cool" and move on, but this is a little worrisome as there have been recent reports Warner Bros. is unhappy with Snyder's final version of the film.  See what I mean after the jump.

Cool New 'Sucker Punch' Banner Poster

A new banner for Zack Snyder's quickly-approaching Sucker Punch was debuted by Apple today, and like just about everything else I've seen from this movie, it does the job on me—getting me pumped up to see the film.

You've seen this logo before. The new banner is below.

This one shows the 5 leading ladies in a panoramic view of the imaginary world in which the film takes place: Babydoll (Emily Browning), Amber (Jamie Chung), Blondie (Vanessa Hudgens), Rocket (Jena Malone), and Sweet Pea (Abbie Cornish). They're all in battle poses, sporting their individual weapons, and reminding me a bit of Fox Force Five. There's also a nice night-to-day gradient look going on, which I think works well. The Best Trailers of 2010

You know what they say about first impressions, you only get one.  And, that my friends, is why there are few things in the film industry more powerful than a trailer.  Trailers can make terrible films look incredible (I'm looking at you M. Night) and in the worst of times can cause incredible films to lose an audience (colon, frowny face Scott Pilgrim).
