We've seen our fair share of hazy photos from the set of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel, including some of Superman's new duds. Today, thanks to readers at Superhero Hype I'm proud to share new pics that finally provide an up close look at Henry Cavill sporting the "S" on the chest of his super cool Superman wardrobe.

What will fanboys cry about this time around for the new Superman movie? Glasses. Yes, simply put they will be crying about Clark Kent not wearing any glasses when he's in civilian clothing... and the missing red trunks. See on set pictures of Man of Steel after the jump.

Although this shot isn't an actual shot from the film, a lot is revealed by this promo photo of Zack Snyder's Man of Steel. Personally, I think it looks pretty bad ass with the safe crumpled up, sparks flying everywhere, and Superman looking mean and determined.
The suit of Superman has always been tough to pull off in modern cinema.

Given that the film cost $270 million to make, believe it or not, this 5 minute sequence was a cheaper portion of the film Superman Returns. In the new Superman Anthology BluRay/DVD set, Warner Brothers also put in this neat 5 minute deleted opening scene from the film. Given that the movie ended up being two hours and 34 minutes long, I'm sure this was just one of the few expensive scenes they had to delete.
Still, you can see why this scene wasn't necessary. In fact, it's almost as if the director had an unlimited checkbook and he decided to just shoot scenes for the hell of it and not because it made sense in the story.

Even Superman can't fight delays
In a bit of upsetting news (for me at least) Warner Bros announced that Man of Steel, the Superman reboot produced by Christopher Nolan and directed by Zack Synder, will be released on June 14th, 2013 instead of December 2012. It isn't a complete heart breaker as filming has not started yet, but it will give the entire production team more time to make the film.
While Warner Bros has not commented on reasons why it's being delayed, there are a number of factors that probably have played a hand in it.
