Prison Thriller ‘The Tomb’ to Add Arnold?

Summit Entertainment wants Arnold Schwarzenegger to co-star with Sylvester Stallone in their upcoming prison thriller The Tomb.  Apparently the studio has been reading the huge press that these two former action-film-demi-gods have been getting with The Expendables and figures to parlay that into big profits of their own.

A few years back, The Tomb had another aging action star (Bruce Willis) and quality director (Antoine Fuqua) attached before the project went awry.  Deadline reports that Mikael Hafstrom (1408) is now in talks to direct.

Are you Ready for ‘Rocky’ the Musical?

In what may be regarded as one of the most surreal announcements ever, today we learned that Sylvester Stallone plans to resurrect his iconic Rocky character with, Rocky: The Musical.  THR reported that the Sly one is teaming up with the world champion boxing brothers Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko to bring his latest vision to the world.

Stallone, the Klitschkos and Kevin King Templeton (of Stallone’s Rouge Marble production shingle) will co-produce the show-tune infused project.

Sylvester Stallone Sued for Plagiarism in 'Expendables' Screenplay

It was reported last night by The Hollywood Reporter that Sylvester Stallone is being sued by screenwriter Marcus Webb, who claims that Stallone "borrowed" parts of a screenplay of Webb's entitled The Cordoba Caper for the 2010 action blockbuster The Expendables.  The plagiarized elements are said to include the "villain, plot about mercenaries, and opening sequence."

I wasn't a big fan of The Expendables, likely because I was never a big fan of the 80's macho action flicks it was imitating.

Two New Cast Members in for 'Expendables' Sequel

I was a bit disappointed of last years Expendables, though it boasted a talented, promising cast.  The film fell short but many people I know enjoyed it because Stallone brought together such action stars as Jet Li, Jason Statham, and Mickey Rourke.  Well, the sequel's cast doubles its predecessor in quantity and "quality."  Worst Previews and Moviehole are reporting that Scott Adkins and Liam Hemsworth have offically just the Expendables 2.

Sly Stallone vs JCVD in 'The Expendables 2'

It's official The Italian Stallion will square off against The Muscles from Brussels in The Expendables 2.  Sylvester Stallone confirmed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, which tough hombres would make the active roster in The Expendables sequel.  One of those bad dudes will be none other than Mr. Jean-Claude Van Damme who will play Sly's adversary in the follow-up.
