Catherine Keener Joining Tom Hanks in ‘Captain Phillips’

Catherine Keener has made a nice career out of being the ultimate supporting actress and has been rewarded with Oscar nominations for two of them.  (Being John Malkovich, Capote) So its little wonder that director Paul Greengrass (Green Zone) wanted her to portray Tom Hanks’ wife in the sea drama Captain Phillips. Captain Phillips was adapted by Billy Ray (The Hunger Games) from Phillips’ memoir “A Captain’s Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALS, and Dangerous Days at Sea."

Tom Hanks Returns to WWII

Okay, Tom Hanks isn't actually getting into a time machine and travelling back to the 1940 when WWII was in raging in Europe.  Althought the prolific actor is planning to star in Erik Larson's nonfiction bestseller In the Garden of Beasts, which recently was optioned by Universal.

"The book tells the true tale of William Dodd, the United States' reluctant and mild-mannered ambassador to Berlin in 1933, and his daughter Martha, a vivacious socialite who had romantic affairs with a Gestapo official and a Soviet spy.

'Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close' Trailer

'Toy Story 4' In Development Says Tom Hanks

With the running success of almost every single Pixar movie most recently, Cars 2, it probably won't come as any surprise that Toy Story 4 will be made.  In an interview with BBC, Tom Hanks who stars as the voice for Woody in the animated film franchise Toy Story, was asked whether there will be a Toy Story 4 for his granddaughter to see.
