Michael Bay to Transform Career With...Transformers 4

This is your calling Michael Bay. You can't fight it.

Michael Bay’s quest for an Oscar will have to wait a bit longer.  The man, whom if he had his druthers, would shoot an entire movie in slow-mo, is going back to the well at least one more time.  That’s right kids, coming June 27^th, 2014, Transformers 4.   We should be upset.  We should be marching in unison, with pitchforks and thoughts to terminate with extreme prejudice, to Michael Bay’s house.  Someone has to pay right? I mean really, can anyone out there tell me the difference between Revenge of the Fallen and Dark of the Moon?

Silva's Pick: Worst Film of 2011

With David Hoffman, Josh Baldwin, Mario Melidona, and our editor writing about the best films of 2011, I thought I would just flip the script and tell you about the worst film of 2011 (because of school, I haven't seen many films this year.  So bare with me if your least favorite is on the list).

No other in 2011 had me scratching my head and face palming harder than Transformers: Dark of the Moon.  What a surprise! A Michael Bay film.

Michael Bay Back for 'Transformers 4', Critics Groan

I'm not gonna mince words: I hate the Transformers movies.  I hate them at every conceivable level.  The stories are horrendous, the "humor" is irritating and what should be exciting action scenes are ruined by hyper-active camera-work that looks as though it was edited by a crack addict.  I blame pretty much all of this on the director, Michael Bay, who was reportedly going to leave the franchise to wage his never-ending war against quality elsewhere.  Vulture recently reported, however, that Bay will direct the fourth film in the franchise.

'Transformers 4' & 5 May Shoot Back to Back, Minus LaBeouf

More Transformers Coming, Less Sam Witwicky

Variety reported yesterday, Transformers director Michael Bay, his chum Steven Spielberg and Hasbro were in talks trying to make a Transformers 4 happen.  They're actually pushing for two more films to be made with the plan of shooting them back-to-back, Pirates of the Carribean style.  Of course, the franchises' non-robotic star, Shia LaBeouf will not be returning with his Auto-Bot amigos for these future installments.

I believe LaBeouf made it clear, before Transformers Dark of the Moon was even in theaters that he wouldn't be back as Sam Witwicky.

Jason Statham Going 'Fast and Furious 6' & More?

Dear Statham, don't do it!Jason Statham is currently negotiating for roles in both Transformers 4 and the next Fast and Furious movie, according to TwitchFilm.  Looks like Statham has fully embraced being typecast at this point, which is a shame.  At least, in The Mechanic, Blitz and Killer Elite he was typecast in good movies.  

Now back to the point of the article.  The studio is considering Statham for both the sixth and possible seventh Fast and Furious installments, which will start production back-to-back in Europe this year.
