'Twilight' Director Says Original Script Was Even Worse

I have a confession to make: I never actually hated Twilight that much.  The first movie, I mean. I haven't garnered the self control to slog through any of the others.  It was definitely bad, but to me it was always bad in a forgettable way, and I never really got the whole "epitome of movie hell" reputation it's gained.  There are Oscar winners I'd argue deserve that title more.  Whatever your feelings, though, director Catherine Hardwicke spoke to NY Times magazine and said that the original script was worse before it was rewritten.

'Twilight' Franchise To Continue After 'Breaking Dawn' Under Lionsgate?

Woo. Hoo.

The Twilight series of movie and books is really one that needs no introduction.  It's a record-breaking franchise hated by pretty much everyone outside of its main demographic, so I imagine that there was going to be a fair amount of celebration when the second adaptation of the very last book, Breaking Dawn, is released in November.  A few comments from Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer indicated that the series might keep going, however, now that he's acquired Twilight studio Summit Entertainment.

Twi-Hards Lining Up for Monday Premiere of 'Breaking Dawn Part 1'

Love it or hate it, Twilight is an international phenomenon.  That much can not be disputed.  The young adult novel turned movie franchise has been bringing in cash since the first film released in 2008 with a $69.6 million opening weekend.  Next Friday, the first part of the end, Breaking Dawn Part 1, will be releasing and some fans are already lining up in Downtown Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre to get a glimpse of the series' super stars, such as Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, as they walk the red carpet Monday when the movie premieres.

2011 MTV Awards and A New Clip for 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two'

With all due respect the MTV Awards used to be a place where young adult fare could thrive, away from the uber-serious Oscar contenders. Now, they seem to cater to the teen vamp devotees and its really sad. It was a Twilight-fest and surrounding talent that walked away with most of the awards with a few delightful surprises (Emma Stone wins best comedic performance for Easy A!).
