Joss Whedon Describes Details of Axed 'Wonder Woman' Script

There was actually a failed Wonder Woman TV pilot shown earlier this year. Trust me, this caption is all the mention it deserves.

Of all the major DC heroes, Wonder Woman was always going to be one of the hardest to sell to the public.  An Amazonian goddess whose powers include the use of an invisible plane and a lasso that makes you tell the truth?  That's out there, even by comic standards.  But if there's one person who could have pulled that off, it would have been Buffy creator and Avengers director Joss Whedon.  In a recent interview with Rookie Mag, Whedon revealed some details about what his ultimately rejected Wonder Woman script entailed,

'Drive' & 'Logan's Run' Director Wants to Make Wonder Woman Movie

Soon the movie world will find itself more familiar with director Nicolas Winding Refn and he's counting on it.  His next film, Drive starring Ryan Gosling hits theaters on September 16, but it's the success of his future project, the Logan's Run reboot, he believes is the key to him getting a shot to make a Wonder Woman movie for DC Comics and Warner Bros.

He's talked about his desire to helm the project off and on over the last year, and reportedly believes Drive co-star Christine Hendricks (photoshopped above in mock Wonder Woman duds)

'Wonder Woman' to 'GI Joe' Adrianne Palicki Tries Again

 No, this wasn't the front cover of a package of a Halloween costume. This was Palicki as Wonder Woman.

After her pilot for Wonder Woman TV series got laughed off by studios and audiences for its ridiculous costume, Adrianne Palicki will play the role of Lady Jaye in the GI Joe sequel.  Lady Jaye I'm sure will sport a less colorful and more sexy military outfit which should bode well for her.

This is a major upgrade for Palicki, as till now she's known for her role in Friday Night Lights, the TV series.  Going from the small screen to the big screen is often viewed as advancing in the right direction.

They Heard You, 'Wonder Woman' Gets Costume Change

A couple weeks back, we told you about how awesomely terrible Wonder Woman's costume is for NBC's live action TV series.  The shot above is her old costume, and it looks like somebody's Halloween costume.  You know the ones that girls in their 20's wear as an excuse to look sexy/slutty in public.  

Well, the producers heard the negative reaction and changed the costume to a more realistic, less shiny costume.  Here's the photo courtesy of Yahoo!:

WB President Wants 'Justice League' Movie for 2013, Plans for Batman After 'The Dark Knight Rises'

Oh what a regime change at a studio can do...  Last night, the interweb was a grumblin' after an LA Times article on new Warner Bros. President Jeff Robinov made a passing comment about having a Justice League movie in theaters by 2013.  And when I say passing, I do mean passing - nothing other than a title and year were mentioned.  Now today, in a follow up piece to the article posted yesterday, the LA Times and Robinov directly addressed the studio's plan for the superhero team-up.

But that's not all.  While discussing the course of the studio's various hero franchises, Robinov confirmed that The Dark Knight Rises is in fact the endpoint of Batman’s story as it currently exists on film, wrapping Christopher Nolan's trilogy.  But more surprisingly, he and the studio plan to reboot the character immediately afterward.
