First Look at The Zombies from 'World War Z'

Moviegoers love zombies, so folks will love Marc Forster's apocalyptic zombie tale World War Z.  And of course it's headlined by mega star Brad Pitt.  Today we get our first peek at the zombies (mannequins actually) from the set of World War Z courtesy of Ain't it Cool News. 

The zombie mannequins are impressive, and I really like how they resemble humans more so than monsters like they generally do in most zombie movies.

Bryan Cranston Up for Small but Important Role in Brad Pitt's 'World War Z'

I'd love to see Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston killling zombies on the bigscreen, and may soon get my wish.  THR reports, Cranston is in talks for a little, but flashy role in Brad Pitt's post-apocalyptic zombie flick World War Z.  

Cranston, if he signs on, won't be the only notable AMC network star appearing alongside Pitt in Marc Forster's film.  Mireille Enos of The Killing and James Badge Dale from the now cancelled show Rubicon and HBO's The Pacific are also attached to World War Z.

New Set Photos Of Zombies And Pitt On 'World War Z'

The zombie craze continues with new set photos of World War Z.  In case you didn’t know what World War Z is, I’ll refresh your memory. 

World War Z, written by Max Brooks and published in 2006, is written in the form of first person narratives of multiple characters accounts in a decade long war between Zombies and Humans.

Matthew Fox & Ed Harris Next on Deck for Brad Pitt's 'World War Z'?

Marc Forster's epic zombie movie World War Z starring Brad Pitt is on a mission to add more supporting actors to the fold.  According to Deadline, Lost star Matthew Fox and one of the baddest senior citizens on the planet in Ed Harris are the latest stars currently in negotiations for the film adaptation of Max Brook's larger than life novel.

The expected parts for Fox, Harris and recently added French actress Julie Levy-Boeken are unspecified for now.  Pitt is the only actor on the film's IMDB page with a character name attached, as the lead Max Brooks.  World War Z refers to the 10 year anniversary that humans won the war against worldwide zombie epidemic, and Brooks travels the globe collecting stories and interviewing survivors of that war.

Brad Pitt Set to Star in His 'World War Z' Adaptation

Max Brooks, the son of Mel Brooks and Anne Bancroft,is a zombieficionado, having written The Zombie Survival Guide and The Zombie Survival Guide: Recorded Attacks as well as the more famous World War Z. Z entered a bidding war a few years ago, with Brad Pitt's Plan B besting Leonardo DiCaprio's Appian Way in an effort to turn the best-selling novel into a film.

Now Pitt's going to star in it, according to Fused Film, and it will arrive in two summers. I wouldn't say Pitt's on-screen presence is ultimately surprising, but it should help the film's chances, both when it gets to theaters and possibly when recruiting additional financing if that's necessary and potential co-stars. Paramount aims to make films out of Brooks' entire zombie trilogy - if that's really an applicable name for it - and if there's one thing we haven't really seen with zombies yet, it's a major, big budget, star-driven film. Lots of great ones, most made on modest budgets, but here's a synthesis of one of the biggest stars on the planet, great literature, and zombies. That's what's truly exciting about this prospect.
