I just found out that Clash of the Titans will be released in 3-D and it will also get a new release date to facilitate the process that will convert it up from standard 2-D to the 3-D format.

We first heard that this might be happening a couple weeks ago, and a source let me know exclusively that the film might have to be pushed back a bit to make everything work out. I guessed April 9th because Warner Bros. has The Losers on that weekend, so it could easily do a switcheroo on those two films. Not so. I'm told that new date is April 2nd and Prime Focus, which did some work on Avatar, is handling the 3-D transfer.

Back in late September, when Prime Focus announced its conversion process, CEO Michael Fink said, "3-D moviemaking has proven to be more than a passing trend—it's rejuvenating international box offices and giving filmmakers a new storytelling technique that enriches the movie-going experience.
