Luckily, you can use pay per click (PPC) advertising to make everything go a little bit quicker. With good PPC management services, you can have a campaign set up that doesn’t just get you more traffic, but that, in so doing, actually pays for itself!

How to Set Up a Campaign

The best thing to do is work with a PPC management company to set up your campaign. However, should that not be possible, perhaps because you don’t have a large enough budget yet, there are a few things you can do yourself. Setting up your campaign involves:

  1. Researching a keyword list, making one as big as possible but that only includes keywords that are actually relevant to you.
  2. Make themed groups for those keywords and keyword phrases. These groups are known as ‘ad groups’ and will really help you to get more out of your campaign.
  3. Make sure your ads contain the keyword in the headline, and make a minimum of two ads in each group that are essentially the same, changing a single thing in either the ad text or the headline.
  4. Use a dynamic keyword insertion to target your URL. This helps to increase your overall quality scores.
  5. Always include conversion tracking, so that you can see which ads work and which ones don’t.

Managing Your PPC Campaign

  1. First use exact match keywords. Only spend a little bit. This shows you which keywords work best.
  2. Have a negative keyword list, which means the advertiser will NOT show your ads for certain keywords. This is really useful to make sure you don’t pay for irrelevant traffic.
  3. Tweak how much you want to pay for the ads, so that you spend more on the ones that get you the most hits.
  4. Split test your ads by showing them evenly. Once you have more than 100 impressions, you pick the ad that works best and discard the others – or invest less in them if they also work well.
  5. Pause keywords that don’t get clicks after at least 1,000 impressions. Keeping poor keywords live will impact badly on your campaign.

The most important thing is that you keep doing your research. Some people find that PPC is like a natural extension of their regular work, others struggle significantly with it. Either way, it is a significant amount of work, even if you find it very easy. Hence, once your campaign starts paying for itself, or once your business gets off the ground and you have a bit more budget available, it is better to hire a company to manage things for you. They are professional and will spend all their attention on your keywords, making them work for you, and effectively giving you a return on investment.

Once your keywords work in order to improve your rankings and get you traffic, you need to start using them to monetize. This is even more complex, as you will have to calculate at which point you will actually make a profit.

Important Numbers in a Single Online Directoryhttp://www.getthebigpicture.net/important-numbers-in-a-single-online-directory/ http://www.getthebigpicture.net/important-numbers-in-a-single-online-directory/#comments Wed, 02 Apr 2014 18:38:55 +0000 http://learn2earn2.com/?p=947 Service companies have taken advantage of the Internet to project themselves as never before. It is a medium that has allowed such companies to find niches that have not been able to get major exposure. While the printed word was traditionally the main vehicle for reference and research the Internet has rendered many publications irrelevant. An online directory that is regularly updated provides everything an individual or a business might want.

Marketing tool

Service companies create a reputation by ensuring that they provide something that no one else does, or at least match the competition in every way, and market themselves more effectively. Many do this by ensuring that they have an effective website because this is the most effective tool at their disposal in the modern world.

One excellent idea is a website that in effect is like a directory of important bodies that business and individuals can utilise. It is with the users’ agreement, tacit or otherwise that there is a cost involved in using the number. You can expect to see a fixed price per minute from a BT landline.  Mobile use is different and if you are in doubt it is important to ask because you will be charged. The directory includes everything from the DVLA and utility companies to airlines; benefit agencies and loans. It is a quick alternative to using the search engines. Where you may need to use the search engines such as Google is to find the directory in the first place. You simply need to input a keyword or phrase then look at the response you receive.

BT

Services such as BT will handle domestic and business accounts. Both can have similar issues and on making a call the routing could go to different departments dealing with technical issues, billing, internet or phone problems and now more recently the television services that BT are providing.

The volume of calls during the hours of opening will dictate how long you will need to wait before you are able to talk to someone. There are no emergencies involved in the problems that arise from communications issues so it is unlikely that you will find offices staffed outside regular office hours.

Convenience is the key

There will never be a claim that all the numbers are not available in the public domain but an online directory of important numbers is an extremely useful tool. It can be bookmarked and referred to whenever necessary. There will be no claims that the directory is in any way connected to any of the companies whose numbers are listed. There is no need to be anything other than completely independent.

The BT customer services number takes enquirers to a central enquiry point from where they can get the department they require to solve their problem.  Alternatively the number may take you to an automated message service instructing you to follow instructions. It may be a billing issue or a service problem. Either way, to pay a minimal fee to get your problem resolved is a small price.

The power of the online community and the impact on your reputationhttp://www.getthebigpicture.net/the-power-of-the-online-community-and-the-impact-on-your-reputation/ http://www.getthebigpicture.net/the-power-of-the-online-community-and-the-impact-on-your-reputation/#comments Tue, 17 Dec 2013 12:34:19 +0000 http://learn2earn2.com/?p=732 Online communities drive the web, they are the spark which helped create the internet and the engine which continues to power it.

Facebook, Twitter, blogs and email newsletters can provide a good solid foundation for a thriving online community. They give you the opportunity to gain meaningful feedback and receive ideas to help you improve and grow your business.

Just the fact that you ask for a response or reply to a question posed by one of your customers online, will have a massive impact on the way your company is perceived and its reputation as a whole.

WebHostingBluebook.com can help you find the right support to manage your company’s online presence.

It is fair to say, if you’re not constantly monitoring and improving your company’s online reputation, you could be sending potential customers to competitors. Although you can’t control what others say about your brand online, you can manage how your business comes across on the internet with a few helpful tools, tips and tricks.

Start by simply searching for your company’s name – and the names of your products and services – on Google, Yahoo and Bing, and see what types of information come up. Search using the exact title of your business, along with common misspellings of it. You’ll also want to run an image search using your company’s name.

In an ideal world, your business’s actual website, along with some favourable, accurate news and reviews, should dominate the majority of the first page of search engine results.

To find out when your company has been mentioned online all you have to do is create a Google Alert. These are free, real-time emails that are sent to your email address automatically. You can set up multiple keyword-based alerts to notify you when relevant new web content is published about your products, services and events and those of your competitors.

It’s just as crucial to monitor your competitors’ online reputations just as much as your own. And remember, your company’s website is your first line of defence when it comes to your online reputation. Does it contain compelling brand messaging that clearly demonstrates what your company does?

More importantly, does your company’s website URL directly mirror your actual business name? If not, you should immediately acquire an exact match domain name, so consumers can easily, quickly find you online.

Word-of-review is now more powerful than word-of-mouth, so it’s critical to analyse and understand what people are saying about your company on review sites that are relevant to your specific line of business.

Use your online community spaces to share good stuff about your business too. This could be reviews of your products, pictures that people post of them or videos where people are enjoying what you create.
